A Brief Synopsis of Astrid Schmitt-Stegmann’s

Presentation on June 23rd.

Respectfully submitted by Kathy Rem

Although it is with great humility, I will try to summarize Astrid’s talk with us.  Mostly I have tried to use Astrid’s own words but I have elaborated with some of my own understandings of what was said and talked about in discussions from the attendees.

What awoke in me was a sense of urgency to convey, to become aware, very consciously, to the challenges of our times. During this time of Saint Johns and high summer we have been reminded of how the earth’s soul is in the cosmos with Uriel most actively streaming down on us all. He sees our many shadows and errors and takes them up to spiritual realms. But most important to us humans are to ask the questions, ‘What is my relationship with the world? Am I living into my will with deeds that further evolution? What is it I must do for the future? Rudolf Steiner said, “An unlived life is what will cause problems across the threshold.”

The digital revolution was intensified in 2020 by putting a computer in every household. Although this revolution started many decades before, it is through this technology we are told what to think, where to go to find the answers, and not to think on our own. We are losing democracy and human rights through the impulses being downloaded into our free thinking. This is contributing to the challenges we face today; the fear, inflation, corruption, technology, AI, causing the weakening of our etheric bodies and creating worldwide depression, anxiety, and hopelessness.

We must ask ourselves, who is in charge? The movement of transhumanism(a belief or theory that the human race can evolve beyond its current physical and mental limitations, especially by means of science and technology) is everywhere and wants to overpower the human and create a post human that is not ‘weak’ with illnesses, emotions, physical challenges, and the like. The goal is to create a mixture of mechanics and human. Steiner predicted China and the U.S. will lead in this transhumanism. Out of a conference held in Russia recently, attended by scientists, scholars, and prominent businesses from all over the world, it was expressed that this goal is to be achieved by 2045.These people, led by Ahriman, have surmised, “There will still be some fools that will want to be human. They will live in nature preserves.”

We are called to awaken but, as Steiner has said, “A stronger spirit isneeded.”

The ‘drawing’ below, by Astrid, shows two directions to go since 1879: one via Ahriman, the other towards Michael. The angelic realm has descended to help us. Again, we must be aware of this. Angels are here with us right now!

Between 1930 and 1945 impulses streamed down for us allowing us to awaken new capacities; the ability to see through to the etheric realm, to look back at past lives, and to see, if only a few days, into the future.  We will see the consequences of our actions and will know how to make up for any shortcomings. We will begin to see light in auras. If not experienced in this life, we will have all these capacities in the next. Keeping in mind that our higher self is always with us and never leaves the spiritual realm, and is with us in every incarnation, it is imperative that we decide to travel upwards towards the Christ and not downwards towards the imprisonment of Ahriman.

Astrid’s depiction of this journey is below.

In conclusion, I ask myself what am I doing today with my will forces, my heart forces, and my intellect? Can I gift my deeds to Uriel during this breathing out of my soul into her splendor of light or will I burden her with my shadows and errs? The physical body is an enormous gift. Am I using it for the good of all human kind?
