In the Spirit of Giving

We reached our goal with the matching grant! This was accomplished in less that two weeks. Our heartfelt thank you to all who participated in this endeavor. Our branch is strong, supported, and held in such precious light.

Angels on the job!

Join us for four sessions over eight weeks unfolding and exploring the practical application of associative economics as a foundation for a healthy society. Exploring how to begin this awakening in our own finances and economic relationships. We'll journey through the foundations of Rudolf Steiner's economic lectures; to realities revealed through perceiving the world as one dynamic economy; to all our transactions within a shared ecosystem of human capacities and potentials; to how we meet each other's needs with the abundant and ever-present help of Nature and Spirit. We will also explore taking up our accounts and financial literacy as a practice in perceiving ourselves, each other, and the world ever more clearly in collaboration. As well as what Rudolf Steiner could have meant by suggesting "The summons to altruism has come far more quickly through purely outward circumstances in the economic sphere than it has been answered on the ethical and religious side."

Wednesdays February 12 and 26, and March 12 and 26

In-person at the Portland Anthroposophic Library or online simultaneously from 4-5:30 Pacific 7-8:30 Eastern

Hosted at the Portland Branch of the Anthroposophical Society, and Online through the Biodynamic Association of Northern California

Course cost $50 - scholarships available

Contact Timothy Kennedy at timok33@gmail.com to register

You will be directed to our donation page with this link. Please indicate “Economics Workshop” under comments. This registration will be directed towards the event.

The Portland Biodynamic Stirrers

Hello Stirrers!

Tree Paste Party and Horn Manure Stir, Saturday, February 15th at 1:00 pm. You are invited to join the Portland Stirrers and Spreaders at the home of Denise Tester to make a batch of biodynamic tree paste. We will also be stirring the Horn Manure preparation (BD 500). If you have a tree or trees that are struggling with pests or diseases, have newly pruned limbs, or just need a boost, the biodynamic tree paste could be beneficial.

Last year, we had our first paste party on Feb. 3rd and it was a beautiful winter’s day. We will hope for the same this year. As usual, we won’t meet in the case of rain or inclement weather. I will have hot drinks and blankets available to help keep everyone comfortable and we will bring snacks to share, as usual. Bring buckets for your tree paste and a watertight container for the horn manure preparation. Please RSVP before the 15th so I can have enough materials ready. Warmly,

Denise

Please contact Denise Tester at deeprootsfarm@harbornet.com if you would like to be included.
